Harry's Bar and Restaurant, West Palm Beach, Florida
Harry's, a popular waterhole and steakhouse on Wall Street, opened a new location at 384 S. Rosemary Ave. West Palm Beach. It was very convenient to get there, as it is close to the Brightline Station and has easy valet service. It also shares the building with Felice, a cozy Italian restaurant that I reviewed previously.
The bar area was packed with people when I arrived. It was a lively and noisy scene, with lots of friendly interactions and laughter. The spacious bar was 3 people deep. We had early reservations at 6:30 and we assumed the bar noise level would decrease as the night went on, but the bar was active the whole time. Was it loud? YES! Extremely, but it did not take away from our good time.
I was seated at a table in the back, where the atmosphere was more elegant and comfortable. (See Photos 1-2-3)
For starters, we ordered three Caesar salads, which were standard and satisfying. Nothing too fancy or memorable.
For the main course, we had crab cake, plank salmon, filet mignon, and scallops. All of them were cooked to perfection and tasted great. The side dishes were ordered separately so we chose the stacked onion rings and creamed spinach, which were both creamy and flavorful! I absolutely LOVED the onion rings!
The owner, Harry Poulakakos, came by our table and greeted us warmly. He was very hospitable and charming and he made us feel like old friends.
I noticed that there was another restaurant next door, called Harry's and Adrienne's Pizzabar. It had a separate entrance and a more casual vibe. It looked like a great place for families and pizza lovers. We saw pizzas going by which included a delicious looking Sicilian pizza in a rectangular pan and plenty of in-the-round New York style pizzas. With Harry's and the pizzabar being located in West Palm Beach, they can take advantage of being opened later. We are planning to try it out next time at lunch or late night. (See last photo).
